Tomorrow is the big day. I just spoke to my vet, he consulted with an oncologist and he definitely recommends doing 4 months of CCNU (lomustine) along with 9 months of prednisone after Melly heals from the amputation. This damn free dog is going to cost me a fortune!! As long as he is HEALTHY and HAPPY thats all that matters to me. The bills will get paid eventually.
Wow, nine months of Prednisone prescribed before even seeing how Mel recovers from the amputation? Did I miss something?

This is after we see how he recovers (which I am confident will be really well considering he is a year old dog and he is in great shape) and on what the result of the lyphnode biopsy…..
What’s money if we don’t have the love of our dogs? The bills stressed me out too, but it is only money!!! The love of our wonderful dogs is worth so much more than any amount of money in my opinion!!

So, what kind of cancer does Mel have? Just ask since you are using an unusual chemo.
